Amazing New Concrete
Roughly 5,000 years ago, the Egyptians used an early form of concrete to build their magnificent pyramids. Today, concrete is the single most widely used material in the world. Producing over 2 billion tons every year! As technology has evolved, so have the slabs and mixtures that are offered by full service professional contractors. Now, Tarmac is releasing a type of new concrete. Topmix Permeable is able to absorb and filter large quantities of water. Once released, will become one of the most valuable commercial solutions offered by contractors.
Best New Concrete To Use
The Topmix Permeable concrete is able to filter over 4,000 liters of water in the first 60 seconds and has an overall absorbency average of 600 liters per minute per meter squared. This type has a permeable surface layer, made of large pebbles that allow water to instantly drain. Underneath that layer is an ‘attenuation layer,’ which drains the water directly into a drainage system that connects the water back into the groundwater reservoirs. This helps keep the road safer and prevents deep pools of water from collecting.
It Helps Drain Water
Varying forms of permeable concrete has been around for a while, mostly utilize in pavements and sidewalks to help groundwater drain. However, this is the first time permeable concrete has been strong enough to withstand the weight of motor vehicles. In addition, the Topmix Permeable retains less heat than the regular type, which can help during the warmer seasons.
Properly Mixing
Unfortunately, the new concrete can ruin if the water absorbs freezes. The frozen water would expand, destroying the surface. This means that the current version can only be in places where temperatures stay above freezing point. Topmix Permeable is best for areas that are warm and humid, and experience severe weather conditions such as monsoons or tropical storms. Call us today. We are a professional concrete contractor.
